Albert Franks

Albert was born in 1868 in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire. Albert's father was William Franks and his mother was Mary Fallons (Franks Midwinter). He had a brother and five sisters, named Harry, Rosetta, Elizabeth, Caroline, Sarah and Hannah. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Levi and Mary.

  Until 1891 his occupation was Canal Boatman in transportation for Henry Cox, in Stockton, Warwickshire.

    - Albert in 1881, at 13 appears to be living and working on a canal boat with the Cox family. The head of the Cox family was Henry Cox living with his wife Emma Cox and children Thomas, Emily and Sarah Ann. It is not clear at what point in history Albert ceased to work on the canals and moved to live with his sister Sarah in Foleshill.
